A few things:

a) I love the American Idol hype that has completely swept UNC alumni and students. As someone who does know Anoop (we're not best friends or anything, but I know the guy!), I have to admit that I'm completely obsessed with the show now as well. It's totally monopolizing my Tuesday and Wednesday nights, which is kind of a pain-- but it's so worth it to see a familiar face on national television. Plus my mom is a huge fan too, so we have phone dates afterward to discuss. I love it.

b) Whoopie pies are fabulous-- we ate too many to count at Martha during the holiday season-- and I can't wait to check out this place in Park Slope!

c) Could you eat for $1 a day? Here's how one wonder-woman did.

It's hard to imagine, but this Paris-based writer actually feels sorry for himself because he misses NYC eats. Seriously buddy... you're in Paris. You are swimming in a veritable sea of delicious cuisine. I think you can deal.

(However, bagels are a force to be reckoned with.)
